Viewing Permissions Associated with Roles

The Role page lists the six default roles and any custom roles created by you or another Collector user with the Administrator permission. The Role page also identifies default role permissions and, for custom roles, identifies permissions and allows edits to the permissions within the custom roles.

For custom roles, IPP also displays an audit trail of any actions performed on the role, such as when it was created or updated.

To view a role:

  1. From the Admin tab, click Roles link in the Administration left navigation pane. The Roles page appears.
  2. Click the link for the role you want to edit or click View to open the Edit Roles page. If you selected a Default Role, the View Role page appears. If you selected a Custom Role, the Edit Role page appears.
  3. Click the Roles link in the left sidebar to return to the list of established roles.
