Updating the Collector Company

To update company information, you must have Administration permission in the Collector module.

If IPP is using the information from the company's TIN record, the address elements on the top of the page cannot be edited. You must click Edit Details to access the TIN company record. IPP Maintains TIN Company details through its CSR (Customer Service) module. IPP uses an asterisk to indicate the designated TIN company.  When you select Copy address to Company Information, IPP disables editing of company address information on the Company Information page. However, you can edit company information from the TIN/IPP Company Details page, IPP then updates the company information and propagates IPP’s CSR module with any changes you make. If you do not select Copy address to Company Information, IPP ignores the edits to company information but does update DUNs, DUNS+4, and CAGE Code changes.

To update company information:

1. Click the Admin tab.
2. From the left sidebar under Administration, click Company Info. The Company Information page appears.
3. Click the link in the Company Name column. The Company Information detail page appears.
4. Update any of the following company information:

• • Company Name - Required.

  • Address 1 field - Required.

  • Address 2 field.

  • Address 3 field.

  • City field - Required.

  • State/Province from the drop-down box - Required.

  • Country from the drop-down box - Required.

  • ZIP/Postal Code field - Required.

5. Click OK.

To edit Federal Tax Information or Company details for the TIN company:

1. From the Federal Tax Information section, click Edit Details to edit the TIN, DUNS, or Company information. The TIN Company Details page appears.
2. Update the TIN/IPP ID Company Details, as needed. TIN/IPP ID is not an editable field.
3. From TIN Type, select Unknown, Employer Identification Number (EIN), or Social Security Number.
4. Select Copy address to Company Information to update your address changes in IPP's CSR (Customer Service) module. This field applies to the designated TIN/IPP ID company only.
   Note: If you do not select this box, changes to the TIN company name and address are not recorded in either the Collector or CSR module. However, changes made to a non-designated TIN/IPP ID company do get recorded in the CSR module.
5. Enter the DUNS, DUNS+4, and CAGE Code, if known.
6. Click OK.
7. Click the link Back to Company Information to return to the Company Information page.

Viewing the TIN Company History Page

The TIN Company History page displays the audit trail for edits made to the company’s TIN Company Name and address details from the TIN/IPP ID Company Details page. You access the TIN Company History page by selecting History on the TIN/IPP ID Company details page.
