Task Delegations

A task delegation is defined as a task that is routed to a new Disburser user in place of the original Disburser user for a designated period of time. A Disburser user can delegate tasks to another Disburser user to manage for a period of time when the Disburser user is away from the office. The Disburser user, to whom the task is delegated, receives an e-mail notification of the reassignment.

The task delegation specifies the task route from the original user to the new user and defines the duration of the task delegation. The new owner of the task receives a notification of the delegation as long as the user's preference is set to receive Notification messages.

IPP only supports a single task delegation. For example, if Disburser A (who has a delegation set up to Disburser B) delegates to Disburser B (who has a delegation set up to Disburser C), then the task assigned to Disburser A is delegated to Disburser B only, and the task is not delegated to Disburser C. Only tasks assigned directly to Disburser B will be delegated to Disburser C.
