Invoice Submission Delay

The Invoice Submission Delay allows you to delay the submission of invoices to the agencies your company is doing business with. You can set different time delays for invoices created through the Create Invoice page and eFile uploads. When a delay is configured, a Collector user accesses the Invoices Pending Submission page to review invoices and decide if any need to be edited or voided. In addition, the Collector user can add attachments to the invoice prior to submission to the agency. When the specified time delay elapses, IPP submits the invoices to the agency for approval.

The invoice submission delay can be a valuable tool in ensuring only correct invoices are submitted to an agency. You can make adjustments to values, add attachments, and correct erroneous information during the delay period.

Note: If your company uses eFile to upload invoices without attachments and you handle attachments manually, IPP recommends that you configure an Invoice Submission Delay for eFile.

To set the Invoice Submission Delay:

  1. From the Admin tab, click System Preferences from the left panel.
  2. Click the Invoice Submission Delay link.
  3. In the Invoices Submitted via Web Form section, enter the number of hours and minutes invoices submitted via the Collector interface remain in the Invoice Pending Submission status.
  4. In the Invoices Submitted via eFile section, enter the number of hours and minutes invoices submitted via eFile remain in the Invoice Pending Submission status.
  5. Click OK to save the settings; otherwise, click Cancel.
