eFile functionality allows Collector users to upload a single eFile or an eFile with multiple attachment files. The latter requires a compressed file, where IPP supports RAR and ZIP formats. IPP does not provide the WINRAR compression format. If you have WINRAR on your computer, you can use this format to upload eFiles.
A compressed file contains one XML eFile, where the eFile contains one or more invoice or credit memo records. The compressed file can also contain file attachments for each invoice or credit memo in the eFile. The total size of a compressed file cannot exceed approximately 10 MBs.
Note: A Collector Administrator must configure compressed file parameters prior to uploading compressed files.
The information in the following table describes the fields for the eFile Compressed File Parameters.
